Ohuivo K-9 is owned by Stew Tardif.  Stew has been involved with Airedale Terriers since 1989, and became interested in Schutzhund in 1993.  Schutzhund is a sport of European origin where dogs compete in obedience, tracking and protection.  When done correctly, Schutzhund provides a window to view what the dog is mentally and physically.  By observing drives, as well as how stress is handled, breeding decisions can be made based on performance.

Stew has been breeding Airedales since 1998.  His dogs are being used in Connecticut in search and resuce operations, in Colorado herding cattle, in Missouri hunting upland game birds, and elsewhere.

Stew is a member and current Vice President of the Hundesport New England a regional entity of DVG America.  DVG is the oldest and largest Schutzhund organization in the world, which started in Germany in 1903.

Stew currently lives in southern New Hampshire with his family and dogs.
